If all you knew of Britain, was from recent British TV advertising & then visited, say, Cornwall, Somerset, York, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness, Shetland, you'd be surprised to see so many "white" people & so few "mixed race" couples & families.. I think that's more than a bit odd..
