The Biden administration, G7 and European Union have announced severe and immediate economic sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin for his "invasion" of Ukraine.
The actions include full blocking sanctions on Russia’s largest financial institution, Sberbank, and largest private bank, Alfa Bank.
Sanctions were also levied on Putin’s children, Foreign Minister Sergeĭ Viktorovich Lavrov’s wife and daughter and members of Russia’s Secretary Council.
US President Joe Biden is also expected to sign a new Executive Order that will include a "prohibition on new investment in Russia by US persons wherever located," further isolating America, not Russia, from the "global" economy.
The east is going it's own way, joined by the Saudis, Qataris & all of the most rapidly growing & developing African countries. Led by & China, India & most of the east, including btw, Japan, they all rejected more calls to sanction Russia & are busy rebuilding their economic & trade relations with the Russians. They're out of the western financial system & happily setting out their place in the one created jointly by Russia & China.
That leaves the US & Europe isolated, the Middle East, apart from Israel, is also going with Russia, quitting the western financial system & trade structure, like most of the other countries I've just mentioned.
The west has just commited economic suicide, at the same time engaging in immoral & illegal acts of war against Russia & its people. The Warhawks in Washington have just destroyed all freedom, all opportunity, & all 'global' trade with the US & Europe, for at least a century to come, maybe longer.

Saturday, late afternoon, the remanants of a cup of coffee have gone cold, the fire is warm, making the room seem cosier than it would otherwise be. The rain is intermittent, but a downpour is sure to come. Got a stinker of a cold, so informed Deacon that unfortunately, I won't be attending service tomorrow.
Going to have a nice hot meal, of roast beef, potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic & herbs, with a side of steamed savoy cabbage, done over the pan of pot's.
I think a hot bath and early bed, are definitely on the cards for tonight, I'll read until I can't, then I'll put out the light & go to sleep. I've got cocoa, so a big mug of steaming hot cocoa beteween exiting the bath & going to bed, will be a nice way to end the evening.
