We are the barbarians, at the gates of another civilisation, trying to bring it down, for being a traditionalist, old-school, social conservative type of society.
We have become that which our ancestors feared was coming from without, but we are the enemy within, paying Nazis to bully & murder, as Nazis do, all the while pretending that we're the good guys, that we've been misjudged when we scream blue-bloody murder at "the enemy".
Just because you & I are not physically making the transactions, to pay Nazis to murder, it's all done in our name, with our money & with our, at the very least, tacit approval/allowance.
The only mention by Douglas & Dave, of the debate on RR about Ukraine, is to dismiss the several conversations, as no more than talk by; "self-appointed experts on everything, talking endless nonsense", or words to that effect, which I think is arrogant, unfair & blindly smug, people judging the merits, or otherwise, of opposing arguments, in the full illusion of their own perspicacity.
So we'll allow Victoria Nuland, to be the one political figure to bring about Armageddon, because we're egocentric, navel-gazing, ignoramuses, who haven't really kept up with what's going on, & so just let it go & turned inward again, it's not going to help, at all. Sorry. Peace be with you.. 🙏
Saturday, late afternoon, the remanants of a cup of coffee have gone cold, the fire is warm, making the room seem cosier than it would otherwise be. The rain is intermittent, but a downpour is sure to come. Got a stinker of a cold, so informed Deacon that unfortunately, I won't be attending service tomorrow.
Going to have a nice hot meal, of roast beef, potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic & herbs, with a side of steamed savoy cabbage, done over the pan of pot's.
I think a hot bath and early bed, are definitely on the cards for tonight, I'll read until I can't, then I'll put out the light & go to sleep. I've got cocoa, so a big mug of steaming hot cocoa beteween exiting the bath & going to bed, will be a nice way to end the evening.
