This is a photo of one of my favourite places in the world, Matera, in Basilicata, in southern Italy. Archaeology has shown there to have been continuous human occupation here since Paleolithic times, in other words, since before farming was invented.. A lot of the houses are actully converted caves, charming, but also a stark reminder of the absolute starvation level poverty that once stalked these craggy hills..
I recently experienced difficulties making payments to Rubin Report, so they've locked me out of my supporter status, I used the "contact us" to send them messages about this, hoping they'd sort it out for me while awaiting payment. I've been with RR since 2020, so I assumed they'd sort it out, they have not responded & although payment has now been made, my status has not changed back, to say I'm disappointed is a huge understatement.
